    The Gas Brigade show takes place on the hour, with timings varying throughout the year.

    • From December 1 (the start of Summer): The first show begins at 9:00 PM as the days grow longer.
    • From March 1 (the start of Autumn): The first show starts at 8:00 PM.
    • From April 1: The first show begins at 6:00 PM.
    • From October 1: The first show starts at 8:00 PM

    The final Gas Brigade show happens at midnight Sunday to Thursday, 1am Fri – Saturday, as well as the night before public holidays.

    The firing of the gas brigades is subject to safety precautions, which include considerations for weather conditions and maintenance. On days when a total fire ban is declared for Victoria’s Central Region by the Country Fire Authority, the gas brigades will not be fired.
